In this David and Goliath trial, an injured man stood to lose his livelihood to a platoon of physicians, healthcare facilities and their insurance attorneys. The plaintiff, a competitive world-class athlete who also owned training facilities, was injured in a competition.

The injury turned into a series of progressively disturbing warnings, and the failures of multiple physicians to perform the standard of care required to protect the health and healing of the plaintiff. A straight-forward ligament tear became an infection which then ate through the plaintiff’s bone. Plaintiff lost: his ability to compete and train, closed his business, was evicted from his home, and forced to move his whole family in with his parents.

• On the very first day of trial, JURIS LTS shared several defendant physicians’ video depositions to the jury which resulted in settlements from those physicians.
• On the second day, another physician settled out.
• Then Standard of Care experts were shown x-rays and video depositions of infectious disease doctors, including the owner of the practice
• The trial ultimately fizzled out with every defendant offering a settlement after only five days. The plaintiff never even took the stand.
